2. Decide what Miss Nelson should name all of her kittens!  Write a sentence for each cat explaining the name and why you should name that cat with the name you suggested. Each sentence should begin with a capital letter and end with a period.

To do this, you can:

Just for Fun: Check out what Mrs. Thomson has been doing for fun.  Her family did a Zoom Lip Sync Battle and this is the Lip Sync Song that Mrs. Thomson did: Lip Sync

1. Writing Lesson:

  • Watch the following video: Mother's Day Letter 

  • Write a letter to your mom (Shhhhh! Don't letter her see it yet! You can give it to her on Sunday- Mothers Day).  You can use a blank piece of paper, or print this writing paper off. 

  • Don't forget to put capital letters and end punctuation in your letter.  Make sure you write lots of sentences (not just one or two).  If you need ideas of what you can say, look at this list:

    • Tell your mom what you are grateful for (her making food, her helping you with homework, her playing games with, her going on walks with you, ect.)

    • Tell your mom something special you could do for her (cook her a meal, sweep the floor, give her a back rub, ect.)
    • Tell your mom what you love about her (her hugs, her hair, her funny jokes, ect.)

    Guidelines:
    • Write in paragraph form (4-7 sentences)
    • If you want, include a picture in your journal entry: pictures draw your reader in!
